This couple of weeks I’ve been busy getting my Bootcamp off the grand and a thought keeps coming up for me. The thought is, how much money do we need to feel safe? To feel that we have made it in this world? That our life is awesome and it’s time to reap what we have sown!
Do you ever think about this? To me, that’s what a Wealthy life looks like! When we feel well in all areas of our life and are free to live the life we want to live! But, what in fact does that look like? Have you ever thought about it? I thought today, we’d get to it because what I see happen (I’m guilty too!) is that we know what we don’t want in our life but we seldom take the time to think about what we DO want!
We are going to take action! Today is the day that you dust off your workbook, (you know, the one you bought so that you could write about your dreams and goals!) and we are going to create that life! are you ready?
First:
- What do you want your life to look like in 5 years?
I know five years seems like a long time, but believe me, it’s really not! And when we think of five years, we are more likely to dream bigger and not put limitations on what is possible. Having said that, if you do this thing right, you will start seeing changes in your life way before the five years are up. Remember to dream big and write what you WANT to happen not what you DON’T WANT to happen! When asked this question, most people have so many ideas, all disorganized and that’s one of the main facts that keep people from achieving their goals!
Second:
- When you think of money, how much of it do you need to feel secure? Why?
Now, let’s really think about this one! We, I used to think that no amount of money would be enough for me to feel secure. Then, one day, I realized that I feel pretty secure if I have no debt and 6 months of living expenses saved, as an “if-I-need-it” fund! One of my goals was to leave my job and start my own business, which many of you know I did at the end of last year. Can you guess why I felt “comfortable” leaving and coming home to start my business? Because I had reached my goal of having my “if-I-need-it” fund and no debt. Now, let me tell you a secret… I hadn’t quite reached the 6 month mark but the fact that it felt like a stretch, encouraged me to work more on my business and to be very mindful of my spending. Now you, what does it take for you to feel “secure”? Be realistic and serious about it. This shift in thinking is probably the key to your happiness! (try saying it with a Yorkshire accent!😁)
Third:
- Who are you willing to become to get all of that?
No, it’s not a trick question! There’s a reason you want all you wrote down for question one but are not there yet. Or the fact that you now know it’s not wanting without measure but gratitude for what you have already that is going to get you to be “secure”, but that’s not happening either, is it? You got it, the reason is if nothing changes, nothing changes! Something, in this case someone you have to change to start creating the right energy around yourself so that, all these wonderful things can happen. The question is really, what are you willing to do, give up, start, end, in order for that to happen?
Fourth:
- What can you do TODAY that will move you towards that goal/dream/manifestation?
Well, what is a goal if not a dream you are manifesting by creating a clear plan to get there? (see what I did?!). Whether you want to achieve the ultimate goal, FREEDOM, or a more modest goal of being President of your country, you need a plan. No, I’m not kidding! Freedom is the ultimate Goal! Do you think Cristiano Ronaldo, only the BEST football (soccer for some of you!) player of all times (I’m biased!), who has more money than any of us, or him for that matter, knows what to do with, is free? No, because for him, security is not money, it’s being known as THE BEST FOOTBALL PLAYER! He wouldn’t know who he is if he didn’t have that. So, again, money may seem like the ultimate goal, but it’s actually, only a means to get to the real thing! So, he gives up his freedom to play wherever they (managers, clubs…) tell him to play. What are you willing to do, to reach your Goal?
Fifth:
- What are your core values?
You re probably thinking I should’ve asked this question first. But I wanted to give you the chance to dream/create/manifest all your desires without limitations. Now, you are probably aligned with your values, most people are. This question is really to check in and see that, if you are manifesting a life by the sea because it’s “everybody-else’s-fantasy” and feels chic! It’s probably not a good enough reason to go live by the sea! By the way, it’s awesome to live by the sea! Just saying! Remember to stick to those non-negotiables because, at the end of the day, it’s what makes you, YOU!
I hope these questions will help you get started on Creating/Dreaming/Manifesting the life you really want to live. I have a resource that might help you get into the spirit! You can grab it here!
Remember, it looks different for everyone. Whatever makes one person feel secure makes another one really scared. It’s not a one size fits all and it’s not a contest! (Stop looking at what the Joneses are doing!).
