Happy Thanksgiving!
I do know that Canada has had its Thanksgiving and Thanksgiving is not celebrated where I live but… I do the whole turkey and pie thing, just because! We all should give thanks way more often than we do, so if we can make a feast of it, all the better, I say!
If you’ve been keeping up with the updates around here, this month I’m celebrating all the amazing Women I have in my business life! I’ve been interviewing them on my podcast, The Money, W(h)ine & Cheese Club. Have you listened? Which one is your favorite so far?
What about The Miracle of Manifesting Wealth Challenge? Did you participate in that? It’s starting again on the first of December, so don’t forget to sign up! It’s so much fun and it really works… IF you do the work! I really hope to see you there. Join the waitlist here!
It’s also Black Friday and Cyber Monday Month and I couldn’t let these go by without talking about them! When I say, talk about them, I mean, remind us all that just because it’s on sale it doesn’t mean that you are saving money. Also, Just because it’s on sale doesn’t mean you should buy it. And lastly, why you shouldn’t buy it even if it’s on sale!
Why you aren’t saving money with sales:
- I know that the beautiful toaster is on sale but if you weren’t planning on buying a new toaster, you are NOT saving money if you buy it. You are actually spending money. (Do you even need that toaster?) Remember it’s the Holiday Season, you are already going to spend more money. Chances are you can afford it and I say go for it! Just think about the reasons you are buying it now and not waiting until it’s on the budget.
- I know the toaster is on sale but you don’t have the money to buy it and putting it on a credit card is just a no-no! You don’t have the money for it so you will have to wait to get it! Instant gratification really needs to take second place to getting your financial life to a place where you don’t have to think twice before buying something. Do you really need the toaster? Then budget for one less expensive, yes, because even on sale that one probably costs more than a store brand one! Something to think about.
- Even if you do need a new toaster, this is the kind of thing you shouldn’t put on a credit card when you aren’t paying the full balance of said card at the end of the month! No one is going to die or accuse you of mistreatment if they don’t eat toasted bread for breakfast! Suck it up buttercup! You will get the toaster IF you don’t put it on credit and if the money is not going to stop you from buying the bread to toast in that toaster. Buying things you can’t afford usually catches up with you fast and adds a lot of stress to your life… food for thought!
You are not saving money – just because it’s on sale!
One way you can have more freedom to spend is to do the challenges I created! You can find them here (if you haven’t joined in September). I want you to win and I’m your biggest cheerleader. That’s why I keep going on about not spending more than you have. I’ve been there and done that and it was hard to break that cycle. I only did it when I had no choice!
I really don’t want you to go through all that I went through to get to the other side. If you need help with organizing your money or are really serious about wanting to live MORE LIFE, I can help. Send me an email or a message or go HERE and we’ll get on it! Or if you think that a group coaching setting would be better you can always get on the waitlist for the Bootcamp that restarts in January 2023! You can join HERE!
